About the painter Jan Maarten Hensel.

I was born on the 18th of July 1955, at the Overtoom in Amsterdam.

My first exhibition took place in the town hall of Ouderkerk, and consisted of pen and charcoal drawings. After that I stopped painting and drawing because of my career.

My career consisted of several functions related to social governance and the management of businesses.

My experience has taught me that being active on a social and artistic level, next to my career, is a fruitful undertaking.

Born in Amsterdam on the 18th of July, 1955

I am Married to Gré. We have three sons.

I completed a technical education, and have twenty years of experience in directing the service sector of publicly traded companies. I started my own business, Hensel Interim Management (HIM) in 2001, where I focus on strategic advice and business coaching.

Business coaching is the training of managers and executives, regarding their development in the context of business. In 2017 I retired from business, and concentrated me on artcreations.

My great-grandfather was, besides his entrepreneurship as a contractor and project developer, also a painter and illustrator in Amsterdam.
